Overview
The Mauser 960 Assault System was the standard issue rifle of the Star League Defense Force.[1] A Pulse Laser rifle, the Mauser 960 also featured an integrated grenade launcher and retractable Vibroblade bayonet. Contained within the weapon's stock was a survival kit including emergency flares, flashlight, pulse signal stick, medical kit, nutrition pills, cable and folding spade.
The few surviving examples of this system were prone to malfunction due to advanced age and often stripped of the survival gear.[2]
