Solaris VII MechWarrior David Singh doesn't take kindly to betrayal. Not after the assassination attempt a month ago. So when his boss at Freak Show, Michael Pitgar, sends a lance of 'Mechs against Singh in what was supposed to be a one-on-one matchup, the MechWarrior can't up but be worried. Little does he know that he should be worried... but about whom? Find out in this sequel to Mohan's "Freak Show"!

Marcy Kessel has been kidnapped. And David Singh, former citizen of Kaifeng, has a fairly good idea who did it: the Maskirovka. After all, they'd tried to kill him once before, and had recently threatened him again. If they couldn't get to him directly, then they'd do it through someone he loved. But why is he so important? What do they want from him? And how much will it cost him to pay their price?
