Description

Created by the Capellan Confederation as a law enforcement patrol vehicle for the Palace Guard on Sian. The vehicle is a sleek, wheeled, internal combustion engine powered ground car with the maximum speed of 60 kilometers per hour. It is considered to be an inferior design due to its slow speed and sluggish handling.

Vehicle History

The elected Chancellor Sandol Quinn set the requirement for a new patrol vehicle for the exclusive use of the Palace Guard in 2797. These requirements were believed to influenced by wealthy friends of the Chancellor.

The Mao-Heng was selected out of a group of promising vehicles and put into production. Over 2000 production models were manufactured in a run that lasted until 2801. When Barbara Liao came to power she put a stop to production.

The vehicle remained in service on the streets of Sian for several years, where it performed well enough for the Capellan Hussars. The last of vehicles, the infamous Patrol 13, was decommissioned in 2834. The vehicle was purchased by Duke Jian Kao, which he added it to his private collection of vehicles.

In 3042, a re-designed version of the Mao-Heng was created by a group of college students. Its performance lead to the vehicle's resurrection as standard police patrol vehicle.
