Description[edit]
The Medium Sub-Capital Cannon was a massive weapon, weighing as much as a Star of Dire Wolf OmniMechs. The shells fired by the cannon weighed as much as a medium sized groundcar. Inflicting a moderate amount of damage on a WarShip, the Medium Sub-Capital Cannon was very popular with Pocket WarShip and Assault DropShip commanders. The only potential drawback to the weapon was the fact that its smaller sibling, the Light Subcapital Cannon, was smaller and had slightly longer range. An astute Pocket WarShip commander could in theory mount two Light Sub-Capital Cannon with 100 tons of ammunition in place of a single Medium Sub-Capital Cannon, and engage a WarShip from a greater range.
