Mercenary's Star

Mercenary's Star is a popular term referring to the center of mercenary hiring in the Inner Sphere, the supposed "homeworld" of mercenaries. Originally coined to refer to the Lyran Commonwealth world of Galatea, due to the efforts of the Wolf's Dragoons to draw the mercenary trade to their homeworld, the term shifted to the more successful Outreach after 3031, until it's devestation in 3067 during the Word of Blake Jihad.

The term is most frequently used in advertising for the world holding the title and more flowery books and trideoes with romanticized views of mercenaries.
