Naval Commanders are the trueborn, genetically-engineered phenotype that Clan Snow Raven has been breeding since the early days of the Clans. They are bred for their analytical abilities and command presence, with strenght and stamina as secondary considerations.
Naval Commanders are trained to command dozens of hundreds of personnel on a DropShip, JumpShip or WarShip. Their training emphasizes planning and teamwork. Their Trial of Position is conducted within a simulator engagement as naval vessels are too valuable to risk in a live-fire fight.
Most of the other Clans regard the Naval Commander phenotype as a wasteful policy as inter-Clan naval engagements are rare.[1]
