The Orion Nebula is a nebula located in the Deep Periphery, spinward of the inner Sphere, nestled between two molecular clouds, Orion A and Orion B.[1]
System Description
The Orion Nebula was the name given to a nebula located spinward from the Taurian Concordat, approximately 1,500 light years from Terra, in the Dark Expanse.[1] The provided coordinates designate the nebula's center point.
History
In 2982 the two ComStar Explorer Corps ships, ECV Fortitude and ECV Discovery set out on a 1,600 light year trip to the Orion Nebula.[2]
Notes
The coordinates of the Orion Nebula were first identified in 2012 with the publication of Interstellar Expeditions: Interstellar Players 3 . Other than the location of the nebula, and its definition as such, no information was provided on the feature; in the absence of further information on the Deep Periphery no further detail is likely to be available on the nebula.
