Othar was a Star Colonel in the Wolf Empire Touman and the highest-ranking officer left in the Empire when Khan Alaric Ward and nearly all of Clan Wolf's warriors invaded Terra in 3151.[1]

History

Othar hadn't even passed his Trial of Position when the Blackout happened. His first assignment was a garrison Cluster.[2]

BattleMech

Othar's original 'Mech is unknown, but he became dispossessed after being left behind. He didn't find a replacement until 28 March 3152: a Blood Reaper, but he lost it in Zeta's assault on Gienah.[3]

Notes

  • Ironically, Othar share several features with his adversary, Wolf's Dragoons leader Henry Kincaid: both were originally unremarkable warriors, raised to command by virtue of being the highest ranking officer left behind. Both resented having being denied the right to fight in Terra (or prevent its people fighting, in Hack's case), deeply resented Alaric Ward, and both refused to promote themselves to a higher rank.[4][5]
