Paul Slater was a Solaris VII fighter. He was known for his skills at hunting opposing 'Mechs in the "water" environment of the Arenas. That way of fighting earned him his nickname.
After his retirement he opened his club: The Pelican[1], which he kept until his final retirement, as on 3053 the place was owned by Lou Kinsel.[citation needed]
