The Scorpion Empire is the new nation of the Deep Periphery created after the Escorpión Imperio conquered the Hanseatic League. It represents the unity of Clan Goliath Scorpion, Hansa, Castilian, and Umayyad citizens.

History

After Clan Goliath Scorpion was Abjured from Clan Space they would focus on creating a new home. They would begin by conquering the Nueva Castile and the Umayyad Caliphate, thus creating the Escorpión Imperio in 3080. This relation did not mesh well, as the Umayyads and Castilians became loathe in integrating with the Clan. For example, the Castilians despised being put in the laborer caste, while the Umayyads protested their new position in the Imperio by murdering a Scorpion Head Merchant in broad daylight.[1] To complicate matters, Clan Watch agents from the Coyotes and Stone Lions were spreading rumors about the Umayyad's alleged ancestry to the Not-Named-Clan. In order to alleviate the problems and promote unity, the Scorpions decided to follow Clan Ghost Bear's approach of being partners instead of conquerors. They would also proposed a plan to the Umayyads and Castilians to conquer their hated foe, the Hanseatic League.

Shaping the Imperio

The Scorpions would take major strides in shaping the Imperio. The first step would be to unify the Castilians and Umayyads by crushing riots and Clan Watch agents from the Homeworlds. The next step would be to improve the production quality of the Imperio so they can be better equipped. These efforts would pay off greatly as the Goliath Scorpions would now be able to produce Clan technology, including OmniMechs.[2] They would later work on improving the economy by creating new infrastructures and creating new academies to better induct people while teaching them in the Clan ways. Finally, to cement the unity of the Escorpión Imperio, the Goliath Scorpions would create new Bloodnames from the Umayyads and Castilians for their breeding program as a gesture of goodwill.

Campaign against the League

Although the Imperio were shaping up to plan for the inevitable invasion, the League wasted little time improving themselves. They would invest heavily in strengthening their resources at their economy and people. The League would also make great strides in improving their command by hiring experienced officers and mercenaries.[3] The League would even expand their forces to include three additional Regional Defense Forces and three Convoy Defense Forces. With a much improved force, it was time for the Hanseatic League to strike at the Imperio. With the Escorpion Imperio at full strength, they would take the fight to the League and their worlds. Every contested world of the League was fought hard by both forces as they both lost units. However, the Imperio's superior technology would give them the upper hand as they were making short work of the League's defenses. The battle would end when the Imperio forces would move in on the League capital of Bremen, where Elementals were dispatched to capture the Council of Merchants. However, the council chose to commit suicide instead of surrender or being taking as prison. Remaining Imperio forces would take the building and claim Bremen as their new capital. The remaining Hanseatic forces would surrender under the orders of Captain-Marshal Rudolf Schmidt with some of the remnants of the League and mercenaries fighting to the bitter end. With the defeat of the Hanseatic League and formation of the Scorpion Empire, Clan Goliath Scorpion have cemented themselves, their influence, and reputation as an undisputed power among the Deep Periphery.[4]
