Description

The Swordfish was the sub-capital equivalent of the Killer Whale missile. Inflicting large amounts of damage, but hindered by the size of the missiles it fired, the Swordfish was probably one of the Blakist's early successes. The Swordfish did an excellent job when it came to destroying enemy fighters, but the sheer mass of it's ammunition restricted the amount of missiles a DropShip could carry. The launcher mechanism weighed 140 tons, and the missiles themselves weighed 15 tons.

Game Notes

The Swordfish doesn't have a to-hit modifier against targets smaller than 500 tons.[7]

If an AeroSpace Fighter is hit by a Swordfish, there is a chance that it will suffer a critical hit. This is in addition to any critical hit that results from damage.

When used as surface to surface artillery the Swordfish functions as a "dumb" Arrow IV missile, ignoring any TAG benefits. As the missile isn't designed for this purpose, it also imposes a +2 to hit modifier.[8]
