History[edit]

The Swordsworn was a Federated Suns WarShip as of 2600, described as a cutting edge heavy cruiser at the time. Together with the Monroe (possibly a sister ship) it was stationed in the New Avalon theater, with plans to redeploy them to Proserpina and New Aberdeen, respectively.[1] Its exact type is unknown.

By 2601 the ships were mentioned as key to providing an adequate defense perimeter along the Federated Suns border,[2] suggesting they were particularly powerful WarShips.

Canonicity[edit]

The Swordsworn only appears in the German-only novel En Passant. As a foreign-language product, this novel is not currently counted among the canonical BattleTech sources. It is an official BattleTech product though, and as such should be regarded as apocryphal.
