Big Questions

The information in Warden Clans contradicts itself. First, no mention of who the saKhan was after Kufahl stepped down, only info on elevation of Jerricho to Khan.

Second, another part says Tchernovkov became saKhan in 2845 (still no mention of any predecessor), yet in the blurb in the margin right next to it (which is dated 2 years later and from a different author by the writing style) clearly says he is the Khan. That one seems most likely and when thought about makes perfect sense that he had been saKhan for a longer time than indicated, ascending to Khanship in 2845. Regardless of that, the next section also clearly says Tcherny is the Khan (but no indication of starting year or his final year), so we know he was Khan after his saKhanship, regardless of what the earlier section said.

I arranged it in the way that made total sense and I would love the thoughts of others here who might be familiar with the history. Just striving for an accurate picture.

edit: either way, I'll finish this one's Legacy and title/position then do one on Richard since these two are much more central to the OmniMech story of invention than anyone else. That story needs to be clear. Rebs 15:42, 31 March 2012 (PDT)

Hy Rebs the best way you become a answer, when no other guys do this on sarna, set up a talk on the CBT Forum, here is the link [1], register, and you can post your questions to the Writers and Line Developers in the various sections, i hope this help a little bit.--Doneve 16:14, 31 March 2012 (PDT)
Thanks Doneve. I'll ask them. I have an account there, but since I got busy writing here I haven't had a chance to check up there much. But I will ask the authors about this one for sure. I think what I have is accurate but I'll change it if not. Thanks for looking out for these pages and taking care of the little things I forget, man. It will be a little while before I get it all down. --Rebs 17:16, 31 March 2012 (PDT)
I am unfamiliar with this character, so I don't want to go into detail, but saying that he is "Khan" could also mean he is "saKhan" unless that distinction is made explicit. --Scaletail 10:06, 1 April 2012 (PDT)
Yes, there certainly is ambiguity in the use of the terms. But that ambiguity is much less in the manuals and sourcebooks than it is in the novels. In most cases(as per the sourcebooks), saKhans are saKhans and Khans are Khans in Invading Clans, Warden Clans and Crusader Clans. In the section "The Renaissance Spreads", p41 (FM: Warden Clans), it goes into great detail about his defense of the OmniMech and explicitly calls him Khan Tchernovkov several times in different paragraphs throughout. He seems to have ascended to Khan, but at what point was what I wondered and asked at the BT forum. I keep checking every couple hours, and when they tell me one way or the other, I'll make the changes here first before anything else. --Rebs 10:57, 1 April 2012 (PDT)
