"50% more effective" would mean it multiplies damage by 2/3. Halving damage is "100% more effective".
Tacitcal Operations
I would strongly suggest that references/citations be added from the T.O. The problem with the T.H. is that much of the material was later dropped, and therefore everything is questionable.
