The Pleiades are real

It is just too funny that the Pleiades are a real star cluster. So after i discovered this pic I had to add it. If only the NASA knew, that one day humankind will fight for it. :-) Harry 08:32, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm OK with the real-life info, but I would hasten to point out there are many systems and factions in the BattleTech Universe named after real stars and constellations, many of which are sequential along the galactic cloud (if you look up and trace along the galactic cloud, you see Lyra, Rasalhague, Vega, Draco, Pleiades, Taurus, Pollux in that order and I'm probably missing a couple. This sequence corresponds to clockwise turn around the Inner Sphere. Other examples include the closest stars to Sol, Archenar, Arcturus, Alpheratz, Canopus, Circinus, Crucis (Southern Cross) and Capella (although Crucis is out of place - it really should be in Marik space)...--S.gage 05:38, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
