History

Formation

Clan Invasion

At Duke Selvin Kelswa III's direction, the Tamar War College Training Battalion was expanded to five companies of BattleMechs in preparation for Tamar's defense during the Clan Invasion. However, this increase was deceptive, with the expanded cadre fielding many older and cheaper 'Mech designs like the Locust; ill-suited to direct combat against the invaders. During the fall of Tamar in 3051, many fanatical cadets packed their 'Mechs with explosives, charging Clan Wolf forces in ineffective suicide attacks against the 328th Assault Cluster.[1] The surviving training cadre eventually surrendered after the Duke was killed and his Kelswa Guard destroyed.[2]

Officers

Tactics

Like most training battalions, the Tamar War College Training Battalion lacked any tactical specialties.
