Purpose[edit]
This template attempts to warn a first time offender on BTW's Images policy and is intended where the providing Editor assumes good faith on the part of the offender. In other words, for this first level warning, the Editor is assuming that the offender is unaware that his/her uploaded image violated any of the dictates of the policy and just needs to be informed about them.
The four levels of warning are:
- 1. Assumes good faith
- 2. No faith assumption
- 3. Assumes bad faith; stern cease and desist
- 4. Assumes bad faith; strong cease and desist, last warning
Usage[edit]
- Place one of the bolded codes below on the user's talk page:
- {{subst:Images-1}}
- {{subst:Images-1|Image Name}} references a specific article
- {{subst:Images-1|Image Name|Additional text}} adds more text onto the end of the message
- Replace the terms following the pipes ( | ) with the name of the image causing offense of policy (second and third code) and any additional comments necessary to help alleviate the problem (third code only).
