History
Formed as a showcase unit through Defiance Industries (named Defiance Industries Demonstration Battalion) for the new developed assault designs. The unit showed weaknesses against mobile units but, excels in defensive operations. The company considered the unit as a failure, but the MechWarriors formed their own command and served as the garrison force for several conglomerates. They fought during the Ronin Wars for the Free Rasalhague Republic and later were employed in the Chaos March. The unit made a contract with the TDF and were positioned to hold the Calderon Protectorate in the parent state. Later they were assigned to the Taurian Concordat's border with the Federated Suns as a quick response force.
After their contract with the Taurians expired, they signed on with the Filtvelt Coalition.[1]
The unit defended Marielund against the Death’s Cohorts with great success. The Filvet Academy Cadre and the mercs rotated between the planets of the Coalition.
Officers
The current chairman of the board is Major Buck Tripp.
Tactics
The sheer mass worked well in assault but caused problem by more mobile opponents. The unit specialized in defensive missions.
Support
The small technical staff are overworked by so many larger machines. The unit lacks its own transports, relying on their employer's JumpShip and DropShip assets to deploy.
