Academy
Decker attended the War College of Buena alongside Roderick Steiner, who was at that time known as Roderick Frost.[2]
Operation HAMMERFALL
Decker participated in Operation HAMMERFALL with Roderick's First Steiner Strikers, fighting against Free Worlds League forces on worlds including Helm, as a Leutnant and CO of Saber Company. In 28 April 3138 on Helm, Decker fought elements of the Silver Hawk Irregulars, who the Strikers forced to retreat.[3]

Following Roderick's promotion to General of the Armies, Decker became the commanding officer of the First Steiner Strikers, with whom he was based on Furillo as of 3145.[1] Tasked with protecting Furillo's important military industry, Decker still hoped to conduct offensive operations against Clan Jade Falcon, which helped maintain the unit's positive public reputation.[4]
