Hi there from me, welcome to the wiki (although I am no admin, just another humble contributor). I like your attitude. As for the black holes question, I guess the Kearny-Fuchida technology plainly does not permit to jump near one. You can always only jump to jump points. It is never explained how the jump solutions to new systems are determined (the Taurians do it a lot though, as did Kerensky and his folks). I presume it involves lots of maths, a solid knowledge of K-F theory and prolonged thorough stargazing from a nearby world. And who would want to jump to a black hole anyways, it's plain suicide. Let's see if I can answer your questions... Arthur S-D was captured by WOB and probably became Devlin Stone (no evidence, but it seems to fit), X-pulse lasers are experimental technology (non-tournament legal), the Jihad was planned pre-Wizkids (go re-read Prince of Havoc for an amazing foreshadow buried in VSD's lines), and Frabby's explanation on black holes sounds as reasonable as I can come up with. Thanks for the welcomes and answers. Frabby's black hole explanation does make sense, considering what we know of how a K-F drive works. I'll try to get a copy of "Prince of Havoc" and find that foreshadow. I already knew Arthur was captured, having read that novel, but I didn't know why and what for.
