Hello. Please start bashing or complementing me right away. By the way, I do prefer compliments!

Hello KevinSSr. Welcome to this wiki, and thank you for your contributions so far! Some advice below, please do not take it as "bashing" but rather as guidance. We are glad that you are helping out. Frabby 08:11, 7 December 2008 (PST)

Verbatim text?

The descriptions you added for Hesperus II, Rahne and Port Moseby look like direct citations from the respecite sources. This could be regarded as plagiarism, and is discouraged on this wikia. Citing a single line or sentence may be okay if the exact wording is relevant, but citing entire paragraphs is problematic. If you copied the text verbatim (I did not check the sources), I suggest you re-write it with your own words. Please do not let this put you off! It's just a potential problem for the wiki that we should seek to avoid. Frabby 08:11, 7 December 2008 (PST)

Answer

Ok... I went back and rewrote these articles to take them out of the quotes. They are not direct citations, but reworded as much as possible. KevinSSr 10:51, 7 December 2008 (PST)

Jerangle - Canon vs. Fanon

From the "References" note it seems your description is entirely made up, and not supported by Canon. This is not a problem per se, but this Wiki's Policy:Canon states that fan-made information should be segregated from information based on official sources. While your note already points out that there are no known sources of information on the world, I suggest that you apply the note directly to the parts you made up; it is currently a little vague on the subject of what was made up and what not.

If you have substantial fan-made coverage of planets you may want to put it on the dedicated BattleTech fanon wikipedia. Frabby 08:11, 7 December 2008 (PST)
