Colonel Wayne Rogers was a member of the Waco Rangers from at least 3025 to 3058.[1][2][3][4]

Personal Appearance

History

Early Life

Rogers had poor extremely poor vision, which had resulted in everyone telling him he could never be a MechWarrior. He was however able to overcome this problem by modifying a neurohelmet and how it treats external sensor readings, which allowed him see better than anyone while in his 'Mech. This struggle meant that Rogers was extremely proud of his status as a professional MechWarrior.[1]

Scout Lance

Rogers was, as of 3025, a Lieutenant in command of Rogers' Scout Lance, Preston's Medium Company, 2nd Battalion (Kelly's Support Battalion).[1]

Promotional to Colonel

Sometime before 3049, Rogers' had been promoted to Colonel and command of the entire Waco Rangers, taking over from the then semi-retired Colonel Wayne Waco. His authority within the regiment was not however absolute, with Rogers being dissatisfied that his officers still check his orders with Wayne Waco before obeying.[2]

Battle of Coventry

In 3058 Rogers led the Waco Rangers' contribution to the Coventry Expeditionary Force, which fought against Clan Jade Falcon during the Battle of Coventry.

BattleMech

Rogers was known to have initially piloted, around 3025, an Ostscout BattleMech nicknamed "Four Eyes" with an excellent sensor package.[1] By 3058 however he was piloting a BLR-3M BattleMaster nicknamed "Dragoon Buster".[6][7]
