The Western Orbital Defense Network or WODeN, was a series of satellites and at least one space station put into low Earth orbit by the United States and Japan, for defensive purposes.

History[edit]

The Space Defense Initiative (SDI) was a joint venture between the United States and Japan, started in 1994. The project was later renamed the Western Orbital Defense Network.

In 2007, Crippen Station became the central command for the Western Orbital Defense Network.

As part of WODeN, Crippen Station had high power energy weapons that played a part in the Second Soviet Civil War, destroying Soviet ICBMs.[1]
