Unit Description

The Wolfsbane Battalion was mercenary command which was a Wolf's Dragoons elite Combined Arms Battalion.

Operational History

The Wolfsbane was created in 3140, the unit was considered to be a special force among the Dragoons when was established.[1]


and saw action against the Federated Suns until 3151. After receiving the orders to terminate contract, they leaved Combine Space. As the unit was too far to participate on the Battle of Terra, it moved to Savannah, where all Dragoons's survivors gathered. By then, the new Dragoon's commander, colonel Henry Kincaid was forced to deactivate all other regiments, leaving the Wolfsbane and Tarantulas Battalion the only active Dragoons' units.[2]

Soon after the Dragoons settled on Ilion, Kincaid there the Wolfsbane, using it to train new Dragoons and opposing force for newly created units, like Epsilon Regiment.[3]

Composition History

The Wolfsbane was an exception of the Dragoons: most of their units predominantly fielded Clan and Lyran equipment, but the Wolfsbane, equipped using salvage gathered during the push into Federated Suns territory, fielded mainly machines of Federated Suns origins.[5]
