In 3041, Barnabas fought off a band of tariq-riding bandits attacking a madrasa in Brasha's Mingo Badlands. He accepted no rewards and continued to protect the region for thirty years.[1]

Like Wolf Cola, which appears in the same book, Barnabas Reynolds is likely a reference to the television program It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Barnabas is the name of a fictional child, invented by one of the main characters.[2]
