Barton Morag was the Senate Minority Leader, within the Terran Alliance's Parliament, around the time of the Terran Alliance Civil War.[1]

A representative of a politically powerful family within the Terran Alliance, Barton Morag opposed the passage of a union bill supported by a Baron Sung, which was expected to damaged the economic position of House Morag. Following the assassination of Baron Sung in the Senate Chamber by his family member Lord Huan Morag, Barton Morag boasted on the Action IV News broadcast that evening, that the bill's passage had been prevented.[1]
