Charles E. Foreston was a MechWarrior operating in the Deep Periphery prior to Operation REVIVAL.[1]

Charles E. Foreston, formerly of the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth, was what residents of the Periphery call an Errant MechWarrior: A lone MechWarrior who is hired to act as protector of underdefended worlds mainly in the Periphery. As the Clan Invasion first hit the worlds in the Periphery outside the Inner Sphere in 3049, it was MechWarriors such as Charles that first encountered Clan Warriors.[1]
It is rumored that Charles successfully defeated a Clan Smoke Jaguar OmniMech before he was killed in combat. That made Charles one of the first Inner Sphere MechWarriors to defeat a Clan Warrior in combat, if it occurred.[1]
