Claire Hemphill was a member of the Eridani Light Horse.[1]
History[edit]
The Hemphill family had served with the Eridani Light Horse since the time of the Star League but when Claire's brother, the one intended to succeed their father, died of cancer, she took the ancestral place in the unit. Now-Captain Hemphill's nerves caused her to talk excessively on the eve of a battle, which was an annoyance to her company that only ended once the guns started firing. Hemphill lost the family Wolverine during the fighting on Huntress and took a captured Clan Smoke Jaguar Timber Wolf in order to continue the fight. Hemphill believed that the Great Refusal would usher in an age of peace between the Clans and Inner Sphere.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Hemphill was known to pilot her family Wolverine BattleMech until its destruction on Huntress. Hemphill captured a Timber Wolf as a replacement.[1]
