Clark Harter was author of Jerome Blake, A Provocative Look at the Man Behind the Machine in 3037. Upon the division of the Word of Blake from the reformed ComStar, his book earned the ire of the splinter sect and a death warrant sent to their operatives in the Federated Commonwealth. The Word's inference of Jerome Blake as a 'freak child genius, devoid of personality' was particularly insulting to the Blakist sect.[1]
