Sosa was a skilled scrounger, reputed to be able to source the logistical needs of his unit, even when it should be impossible. This ability raised suspicions with various law enforcement agents, who thought he may have connections with interplanetary smuggling and black market rings, but nothing was ever proven.[1]

- The character Dan Sose of the Marik MDS Mobile Cavalry, appears to be intended to canonize the 2019 Clan Invasion crowdfunding campaign character Don Sose, of a mercenary "MDS Mobil Cavalry" unit.
