Drew Samson was a Taurian Concordat MechWarrior operating in the ilClan era.[1]
History[edit]
A member of a noble house on MacLeod's Land, Drew Samson was veteran a Clint pilot in the Concordat Commandos. When supply bottlenecks of the Pontiac Light AC/5 threatened to hamper new production of the Clint, Drew Samson suggested instead that the LB 10-X AC's used on the Marauder would be a good alternate option. Though requiring a major rework and redesign to allow the gun housing to mount a weapon twice its calibre, it avoided leaving virtually completed 'Mechs gathering dust on assembly lines.[1]
Receiving a hefty bonus for his suggestion, Drew Samson would receive popular acclaim with the rest of his unit when they were the first to receive these new variants, eagerly offering to aid in the introduction of the new 'Mech by offering familiarization training to new pilots.[1]
