Overview[edit]
In late 1985/early 1986 FASA decided to expand BattleTech with new, original BattleMech designs and sought to create a new style that moved the 'Mechs away from the original Japanese models that were used for the original game. To create this new, distinct art style they hired independent artist Duane Loose for the upcoming Technical Readout: 3025.
Illustrations[edit]
Loose created 'Mech designs for the Technical Readout based on names and loadouts provided by FASA, and would remain a go-to artist. He also created art for the original Japanese designs that had a more technical, machinery-style look to it. According to court documents, namely the "FASA III" decision in the FASA vs. Playmates lawsuit, 'Mechs specifically designed by Loose include the following:
