The Eighty-ninth Jump Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History[edit]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on Terra,[3] assigned as a part of I Corps, First Army to the Terran Military Region. The Eighty-ninth was destroyed during the Amaris Civil War in 2766.[1]

Tactics[edit]
The Eighty-ninth was known for their quick reaction time, with one regiment on standby at all times. They worked in tandem with the Forty-eighth Royal BattleMech Division, pinning invaders in place long enough for the Forty-eighth to arrive and crush them.[2]
Composition History[edit]
As an SLDF Jump Infantry division, the Eighty-ninth would have been formed from two brigades of Jump Troops, one brigade of BattleMech regiments, and two ground aero wings.[4]
