Sergeant Major Gilbert Halsteen was a member of Langston's Lancers in the early thirty-first century.[2]

History[edit]
In March 3011, Gilbert Halsteen served in A Company, First Battalion of the Langston's Lancers when they were assigned to escort a gold shipment on Payvand. However, the pirate band Drake's Dragons attacked the shipment before the Lancers were in position.[1]
Gilbert would later write about the events of that engagement in his book Free Worlds Freelancer: A Mercenary in the Free Worlds League, 3000-3015 that was published by Merc Life Press in 3025.[2]
