Leutnant-Colonel Greston Patterson was the commander of the planetary militia of Yed Prior as of 3025.[1]

As of 3025, there was a dispute on Yed Prior, between Duke Travo Keskula and a Shinto monastery over the construction of a new spaceport on land owned by the Shintoists. President Walther Jensen sided with the monastery in this dispute, attempting to help them protect their grove of Yed Conifers, though this only caused Duke Keskula to try to seize the grove by force. Jensen responded by ordering police from the city of Kezma to help defend the forest, which was enough to cause the Leutnant-Colonel Patterson to deem his orders from the Duke illegal, and confine his troops to their bases. This left the Duke's private forces and Jensen's police in an armed stand-off, with an envoy from the Lyran Commonwealth government attempting to mediate.[1]
