Jihad[edit]
First formed in 3065, near the end of the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, with all the starting members were retired from the AFFS, unwilling to fight in the civil war who clustered around Grimmald, willing to follow him into combat.
The Grenadiers served honorably throughout the end of the conflict and into the Jihad. Although they never made the Sphere-spanning headlines of ComStar's INN, the Grenadiers are nonetheless one of the uncounted milieu of professional solders that make up the honest mercenary trade.[1]

- A short battalion composed of nine BattleMechs, seventeen combat vehicles and enough infantry to fill out two short platoons. Several aerospace pilots had been hired on Outreach, but they lacked aerospace fighters.[1]
