Henrik Cole was the estranged nephew of Duke Thaddeus Cole who tried to usurp rule over House Cole with the backing of the Draconis Combine.[1]
History[edit]
Henrik Cole's grandfather fled the Federated Suns after a failed attempt to usurp his brother, Thaddeus Cole's father, as ruler of House Cole. He took refuge in the Draconis Combine, supplying House Kurita with classified information about House Cole in exchange for clemency.[1][2]
With Henrik, the Draconis Combine had a convenient puppet in their pocket to lay claim to the Raman system and destabilize the entire region. In early 3023, Henrik led a battalion to try to kill Thaddeus and take the throne for himself. The attempt failed due to the arrival of Nik's Cavaliers, who were hired when Thaddeus received warning from the MIIO, but Henrik's forces were able to kidnap his daughter Samantha and a number of their staff. This was short-lived, as the Cavaliers and the Draconis March Militia descended on the holding facility and were able to free the hostages. Out of options, Henrik's forces withdrew from the system and back into Draconis space.[1]
Unbeknownst to Henrik, Samantha planted a tracking device in one of their vehicles while kidnapped, allowing the Cavaliers to pursue him back to his base in a remote polar region of Reisling's Planet which was far from any civilian population and plagued by extreme weather. The conditions made the base invisible to unsuspecting outsiders but also vulnerable to attack, as enemies could approach undetected. Henrik was killed and his base destroyed, and Samantha ultimately uncovered the full truth of the operation.[1]
