The Hope Foundation was, as of 3133, a peace activist organization on Towne.[1]

History[edit]

In the wake of the Blackout, the Hope Foundation tried to prevent Towne's turn towards military manufacturing. Along with Citizens for Peace and Prosperity, the organization applied for injunctions to prevent Connor Industrial Ltd. from converting its Fairfax factory to artillery production. As of 17 February 3133, these efforts had failed, with the Towne Supreme Court strongly rejecting them.[1]

The Hope Foundation had at least one in-house economic analyst, Belinda Warthington, who in 3133 criticized Towne's military industrialization as only creating a short-term economic benefit, one that she argued would collapse at the end of the conflict.[2] Marilyn James also spoke on behalf of the Foundation.[1]
