MechWarrior Joe "Mr. X" Zeek was a member of the Waco Rangers from at least 3025 to 3032.[1][2]

In 3025, Zeek was a MechWarrior within the Waco Rangers' Winston's Scout Lance, Kelly's Headquarters Company of the Second Battalion (Kelly's Support Battalion).[1]
In September 3032, while still a MechWarrior in Winston's Scout Lance, Zeek participated in the fighting between the Waco Rangers and Snord's Irregulars on Nockatunga. Zeek was part of a group of Ranger Scout 'Mechs, which located Snord 'Mechs within the city of Thule as they were trying to secretly recover a priceless collection of twenty-third century Demmings crystal, which Colonel Wayne Waco was using as bait to force an engagement with the Irregulars. Only one Waco Rangers 'Mech in Zeek's unit managed to escape the Irregular's jamming and report the location of the force within Thule to the rest of the Rangers, with the remaining Rangers 'Mechs being seriously damaged.[2]

Joe Zeek was known to have initially pilot a Firestarter BattleMech as of 3025,[1] and later a Jenner as of 3032.[2]
