Major General Kaatje Van Pelt was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XXXVIII Corps from 2757 to at least 2764.[1]
History[edit]
Born to two Donegal University professors, Kaatje Van Pelt didn't follow her parents into teaching, but instead joined the SLDF and attended the War Academy of Mars. With a solid record of achievement throughout her career, she was promoted to lead XXXVIII Corps in 2757, but found the posting difficult.
A terrorist campaign waged against the SLDF on her headquarters world of Yuris by local Capellans caused her to become depressed and to drink heavily, leading her to neglect her command responsibilities. Her loyal staff sought to cover for her deficiencies, but they did come to the attention of her CO General Janeth Apostolaki, though he did not want to dismiss her in light of their decade long friendship.[1]
