Keith Lagenhaas was an officer with Kirkpatrick's Invaders, and ex-husband of Kell Hounds CO Callandre Kell, during the mid thirty-second century.[1][2]
History[edit]
Marriage to Callandre Kell[edit]
Lagenhaas was briefly married to Callandre Kell after a drunken revelry in Galaport on Galatea during the Dark Age.[1] While the marriage only lasted two weeks, ending after Kell sobered up and realized she couldn't stand her new husband, Lagenhaas remained deeply in love with his lost spouse whom he affectionately called "Red Delta".[2]
Locating the Kell Hounds[edit]
Following the fall of Arc-Royal to Clan Jade Falcon in 3146, when the surviving Hounds under Callandre Kell disappeared after leaving a message for other allies to join them "Where It All Began", Langenhaas realized this was an opportunity to reunite with his ex-wife. Based on the family history shared by Kell with Langenhaas during her partying on Galatea, Langenhaas figured out the location of the Hounds secret rendezvous, and convinced a lance of his fellow Invaders to defect with him in order to join the Hounds.[2]
Successfully arriving at Beta Regulus II on 23 September 3150, Langenhaas announced his still strong love for Callandre as soon as his JumpShip arrived in system, but his only response from Callandre was making her retch.[3]
Zanderij[edit]
The disparity in feelings between Kell and Langenhaas did not however prevent Langenhaas being put to work by Kell on behalf of the Arc-Royal Liberty Coalition, with him being given command of the Hounds' First Company and the effort in February 3152 to liberate Zanderij. Finding the Jade Falcon garrison beset by native rebels calling themselves the Zanderij Revolutionary Front, Langenhaas set about breaking the remaining Clan hold-outs, and once successful was able to agree with the local resistance that the world would join Grand Duchess Kell's new coalition.[2]
Voices of the Sphere[edit]
In June 3152, while still on Zanderij, Langenhaas was interviewed by Voices of the Sphere on the topic of the collapse of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone and its replacement by the Hinterlands. In this interview, Langenhaas opined that Callandre Kell had spent her life running away from the responsibilities which came with her family name, but that since 3147 she had come to accept them. He also expressed the hope that she might still also come around to remarrying him.[4]
