BRIEFING

Mandril: Eric, Colonel Lawhorn has authorized you for extended 'Mech access from the quartermaster. Several medium-weight chassis have been made available on your roster. Your next mission will be a convoy escort. Flanker Lance is bringing the convoy in from Sector Four. Striker Lance will rendezvous with Flanker at a designated Nav Point and continue escorting the convoy on to the supply depot.

OPERATIONAL OVERVIEW

Safeguard: Rendezvous with a Corvatti convoy hauling crystal to a processing depot. Flanker Lance is currently escorting the convoy. Striker will retrieve them and provide overwatch for the last leg of the route.

DURING MISSION

Mandril: Striker Lance, proceed to Nav Alpha and relieve Flanker Lance of escort duty with Corvatti miner convoy. Escort the convoy along the Nav route to the supply depot, and report any pirate contacts. The haulers you are escorting are loaded with volatile crystals, so be cautious of collateral damage.

Isabel: Nice ride, sir. Looks like Striker Lance is going places.

Radcliffe: Preferably some place other than this dreadful pirate-besieged rock.

Eric: Can it, Striker Two. Get your head in the mission. We'll be done with the pirates soon enough. And the word is the Colonel's been talking to a Steiner liaison about Kentares IV. Could be a big contract.

Isabel: Looks like we're getting called up to the big leagues.

Radcliffe: There's the convoy, sir.

Eric: Flanker One, this is Striker One. Report ready to escort Corvatti convoy.

Greg: Roger that. Congratulations on the lance upgrade, Eric. When you get done watchdogging these corporate crawlers, let's hook up for a round at the cantina.

Eric: Thanks, Greg. I'll rouse you when we get in. Striker out. Corvatti convoy, this is Black Legion Striker One, we're here to escort you into the supply depot.

Convoy Leader: Roger, Striker One. This is Convoy Leader. Uploading route. Next point is marked Beta.

Eric: Roger, marking next point Beta.

Eric: Mandril, this is Striker One. Engaging two pirate 'Mechs along convoy route.

Mandril: Roger, Striker One. Engage at your discretion, but ensure safety of convoy. Mandril out.

Mandril: Convoy reports Nav Beta reached.

Mandril: Convoy reports Nav Gamma reached.

Mandril: Convoy reports Nav Delta reached.

Eric: Looks like a recon wing. It's not a good sign. Striker Lance, get ready for company. Mandril, Striker Lance reporting Nav Epsilon reached.

Mandril: Striker One, we detect six pirate 'Mechs approaching depot from the west. Flanker Lance is nearest support at nine klicks out. We're launching Stilettos to lend fire support. Phoenix Wing ETA two minutes. Hold depot and wait for reinforcements.

Eric: Roger, Mandril. Okay, Striker Lance, looks like we're in for a real scrap!

Isabel: Bring it on!

Eric: Striker One to Mandril. Looks like we got 'em all. Request relief force to secure depot from further assault.

Mandril: Roger, Strike One. Excellent work. Hammer Lance is en route to take over depot security.
