Moshiu Yodetobo was the commanding officer of the Seventh Sword of Light as of 3025.[1]

History[edit]

Tai-sho Yodetobo, serving with the Seventh Sword of Light, was stationed on Luthien in 3025.[1]

During the Fourth Succession War, Yodetobo and the Seventh Sword of Light were tasked with defending the world of Utrecht from the invading Fourteenth Donegal Guards. Yodetobo's troops quickly reinforced the planetary militia and secured the capital city of Naragajan, forcing the Fourteenth Guards to seize the city of Bandor in a failed effort to draw the Seventh Sword out from their defenses. For the next five weeks, the Fourteenth Guards marched from Bandor to Naragajan, with both Utrecht's difficult terrain and daily aerospace attacks taking a toll on the Lyran soldiers. Unfortunately for Yodetobo, it soon became apparent that Naragajan wasn't capable of sustaining itself with access to the rest of the planet cut off and, as the Fourteenth Guards cut off the city's roads, the Seventh Sword's food supplies dropped to critical levels. The Lyrans used the cover of the rocky sides of the Labbie Plateau to nullify Yodetobo's aerospace advantage and waited a week for the Combine's food to run out, forcing the Seventh Sword to launch an all-out attack.[2]

Utrecht's rocky terrain, which had previously provided the Seventh Sword with a solid defensive advantage, proved just as valuable for the Fourteenth Guards. Yodetobo's leading forces were quickly pinned down by the Lyrans, while a flanking attack drove off the Seventh Sword's rearguard. Surrounded and with their aerospace fighters destroyed on the ground, the Seventh Sword retreated to the eastern end of the Labbie Plateau and escaped Utrecht aboard their DropShips. In the course of the fighting, Yodetobo's troops had dealt the Fourteenth Guards a higher number of casualties, but Utrecht was ultimately left under Lyran control.[2]
