Real World Cutoff date for Level 2

As I understand it, Level 2 Technology is an archaic term for the current BattleTech system. (I have no idea what replaced "Level 2" for the current BattleTech system...maybe this article can link to whatever replaced "Level 1/2/3"?)

As an article about the historical Level 2 term, this article seems to draw the line at what was introduced as Level 2 in BMRr and AT2r.

However, I just added additional equipment for sourcebooks published after BMRr and AT2r that was defined to be Level 2 (like Rocket Launchers in FM:Periphery and ATMs in FM:Warden Clans).

So, here's the question....what was the latest sourcebook to add equipment to Level 2? Or maybe the better question is when did Level 1/2/3 get supplanted by whatever is in use now?
