Tatyana Sobiroff was the commanding officer of the Twenty-second Dieron Regulars as of 3025.[1]

Ronin War[edit]
When Warlord Vasily Cherenkoff was killed during the Ronin War and replaced by Michi Noketsuna, Sobiroff declared that she would not serve under a "worthless criminal" and began preparations to desert along with any of her men who felt the same. When Chu-sa Jason Ohiro learned of Sobiroff's plans, he alerted Ko's security forces and fifteen members of the Twenty-second Regulars were sent back to Dieron to stand trial for treason.[2]
War of 3039[edit]
Despite the events of the Ronin War, Sobiroff continued to command the Twenty-second Regulars on Konstance when the planet was invaded during the War of 3039. When the attacking Fourth Crucis Lancers, Fourth Lyran Regulars, and Mobile Fire mercenaries captured all of the Draconis Combine vessels in orbit around Konstance and stranded the Twenty-second Regulars, Sobiroff elected to avoid direct conflict in order to buy her unit the time it needed for reinforcements to arrive. Three thousand of Sobiroff's soldiers put up a token fight for control of the capital city of Ishtalia but surrendered after only sixteen minutes, much to the confusion of the Fourth Lancers' commander. The Regulars' defense of the port city of Lazarus Bay was more determined and consumed much of the Fourth Lyran Regulars' spare parts stockpile before the city was secured on 21 May. Another six hundred of Sobiroff's soldiers were captured with the fall of Lazarus Bay, although the majority of the Twenty-second Regulars remained unaccounted for following the battle.[3]
As the exact number of surviving Dieron soldiers remained unknown to the occupiers, they launched numerous operations to locate Sobiroff's troops amidst Konstance's jungles. While these reconnaissance and strike missions lead to a few clashes with Dieron forces, the threat of the Twenty-second Regulars remained present by mid-June 3039. Faulty carbon dioxide filters in the Lyran's infantry units lead to increased tensions between the invaders' Federated Suns and Lyran Commonwealth factions, which the Twenty-second Regulars took advantage of by ramping up strikes against Konstance's two main cities.[3]
Relief for Sobiroff's soldiers came on 19 August with the arrival of the Third Dieron Regulars. When the Third Dieron Regulars forced the Fourth Lyran Regulars to retreat back to Lazarus Bay, Sobiroff's Twenty-second Dieron gave their sister regiment the strength needed to breach the Lyrans' defenses and oust them from the city. Over two days of fighting, the combined Dieron Regulars managed to kill the commander of Mobile Fire and force the Lyran Regulars off the world, albeit at great cost to the Third Dieron. Following the battle for Lazarus Bay, both Sobiroff and Tai-sho James Kurenai of the Third Dieron wished to avoid further collateral damage to Konstance's cities. The resulting six weeks of besieging the Fourth Lancers' positions in the planetary capital involved little direct conflict, with both sides lacking the firepower necessary to cleanly destroy the other. The battle finally concluded when the Fourth Lancers received orders from their high command to withdraw from Konstance and the final FedSuns soldiers left the world to the Dieron Regulars on 12 November.[4]
