Template:POV section/doc

When to use[edit]

Place this template on an article when you have identified a serious issue of balance and the lack of a Policy:Neutral point of view, and you wish to attract editors with different viewpoints to the article. Please also explain on the article's talk page why you are adding this tag, identifying specific issues that are actionable within BattleTechWiki's content policies.

An unbalanced or non-neutral article is one that does not fairly represent the balance of perspectives of high-quality, reliable sources. A balanced article presents mainstream views as being mainstream, and minority views as being minority views. The personal views of editors or the public are irrelevant.

When to remove[edit]

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. You may remove this template whenever any one of the following is true:

  1. There is consensus that the issue has been resolved.
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given.
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

How to use[edit]

Place {{POV section|date=April 2024}} at the top of the disputed section, and then explain your reasons on the article's talk page. To specify the section of the talk page discussion, use {{POV section|talk=talk page section name}}.

This template will categorize tagged articles in Category:Neutral point of view disputes or a dated subcategory thereof.

This template should only be used in the main (article) namespace. Do not place this template on talk pages, user pages, policies and guidelines, or other pages.
