The Mahdi's Madmen was a Periphery pirate band.
History[edit]
The Mahdi's Madmen operated from a secret base on Asteroid E755-3C within the Pirates' Haven cluster, under al-Tariq the Madmen. By 3065 the unit was down on their luck and they were struggling to keep their equipment operating.
On 8 February 3065 al-Tariq planned a raid on a Federated Suns mining transport, whose cargo was valuable enough to help restore the Madmen's fortunes. Unbeknownst to al-Tariq however, at the same time one of his lieutenants Harad Rafiki was planning his own revenge on al-Tariq, as Harad blamed al-Tariq for abandoning his brother Nariq Rafiki to die during a previous mission.[1]
