History

The TASS W. Buffett was a Terran Alliance JumpShip operating during the First Exodus. One of many colony ships bound for the Binary star system of Mizar, which was being jointly developed by the United States and China at the behest of their wealthiest citizens, the ship misjumped in 2167, leading to a ban on the use of non-standard jump points in the system.[1]

Notes

Given the clientele it served, the ship is likely named for real-world investment guru Warren Buffett.
