History
During a raid against Federated Commonwealth forces, the 202nd's commander was manipulated into including his DropShips in the bid by the opposing commander. This allowed the FedCom fighters to target them, destroying two-thirds of the 202nd in their transports, and sending the remainder of the unit into retreat.
As punishment, the 202nd was stripped of its front-line status, renamed the Eighty-third Fang and transferred to Psi Galaxy.
