Overview
The Forty-Fifth Benjamin Regulars were a unit in the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery.
History
The Forty-fifth is made up of newest troops to the Regulars regiments. However, what they lack in experience they make up with flexibility. This allowed them to find more success in the invasion of the Federated Suns, taking far fewer casualties then the Second and the Sixth Regiments. [1]
The Forty-fifth was stationed on Clovis when that system was hit by Operation PERCEVAL in 3147. The regiment's Aerospace Wing hammered the inbound AFFS force, destroying one of the First Avalon Hussars' DropShips and critically damaging two more from the First Davion Guards. The Forty-fifth's ground elements then struck hard and fast at the landing Davion troops before falling back, then kept their enemies from attaining their objectives. While the Regulars subsequently collapsed under the strain of fighting a superior force, they still refused to give up and held the AFFS troops at bay long enough for Combine reinforcements to arrive.[2]
